Whitby Chamber of Commerce hosts Mayoral Debate and Candidate Expo

WHITBY, Ont., September 13, 2018 – On October 22, Whitby voters will elect nine town council members for a four-year term of office. The Whitby Chamber of Commerce (WCC) will be hosting a Mayoral Debate and Candidate Expo on Wednesday, September 26 at the Durham College W. Galen Weston Centre for Food.

During the candidate expo portion of the event, constituents can engage with candidates and hear their perspective and proposed approaches for Whitby. Following the expo, Kevin Baker, Principal of the Durham College Whitby campus, will moderate a question-and-answer session with the two mayoral candidates.

The Mayoral Debate and Candidate Expo will be open to all to attend, but also be broadcast on Rogers TV Durham.

Mayoral candidates include (in alphabetical order): Andrea Kennedy and Don Mitchell. A full list of regional and ward candidates can be found on the Town of Whitby website.
