Early bird tickets available for the Whitby Chamber of Commerce’s annual Business Summit

Whitby, Ont. – The Whitby Chamber of Commerce (WCC) is putting participants through brand boot camp at The Business Summit, an annual all-day conference hosted on Wednesday, October 17 at the Ajax Convention Centre. This year’s event, sponsored by Collins Barrow Durham, will provide guests the opportunity to examine successful brands on global, national and local levels.

The WCC welcomes Jeff Deline, Senior Vice President, Global Partnerships at Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment (MLSE) as this year’s keynote speaker. Deline brings 21 years of sports sales, marketing and leadership experience to MLSE, having begun his career as an intern. He has been with MLSE since 1997 starting with the expansion of the NBA Toronto Raptors and later the expansion of the MLS Toronto FC.

In addition to the keynote speaker, the event will feature soundbyte speakers Rhonda Barnet and Ron Craig. Barnet is the Co-President and COO at Steelworks Design Inc. and the Chair of the National Board of the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME), a historic appointment as the first female chair in 147 years. Craig has played a key role in leading The Source’s transformation into a growing and significant retailer; completely revamping the brand, product line and modernizing the stores’ look and feel, resulting in renewed sales growth and increased market share.

This event is in its fifth year with a jam-packed agenda including breakfast, a buffet lunch sponsored by webmarketingpro.ca, a dynamic panel and a tradeshow highlighting more than 20 local businesses.

Stay tuned for more details on this year’s panel and the full agenda. Early bird tickets are on sale until Tuesday, January 31 and can be purchased at whitbychamber.org/summit.
