We are pleased to offer an Annual Scholarship Award which is a program we have developed for members of the Whitby Chamber of Commerce and to employees of our members.

Post secondary education represents a large financial commitment and the Whitby Chamber of Commerce provides these scholarships as a benefit to our membership. The awards being offered each year consist of two one time scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each. If you or your employees have an eligible student in the family, please take the time to complete an application and give them the opportunity to receive this support.

The children of Whitby Chamber of Commerce members and the children of employees of Whitby Chamber of Commerce members are eligible for this award. Students who apply must be must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate college, university or professional program in the fall on a full-time basis or be currently enrolled in college or university within their second, third, fourth year or post-graduate program.

Applications will be available in late spring for the coming year.

Please note that all documents/enclosures listed on the application form must be submitted before being considered by the committee.

The Scholarship Committee will select the recipients. The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic achievement as demonstrated by academic standing, community service and extra-curricular activities, accomplishments as demonstrated by scholarly, artistic, athletic, creative or other achievements and teacher recommendations.

Successful recipients will be presented with their scholarships at the Peter Perry Business Achievement Awards Gala held in the fall.
