In addition, the directory is distributed to outside agencies and organizations wishing to do business in our community, other Chambers of Commerce and Boards of Trade throughout Ontario as well as information centres and economic development resources across Durham Region.

Certification of Export Documents: This is a free service to Whitby Chamber of Commerce Members.
Chamber Group Insurance Plan Medical/Dental/Disability: As a member of the Chamber you can participate in a comprehensive employee benefit program. This program is of particular benefit to firms of 1 - 50 employees.
Chamber Member Scholarship Award Program: Each year the Chamber awards two $1,000 scholarships to students of Chamber Members or the Students of employees of Chamber Members. This is a benefit that you as an employer can offer to your employees. The Scholarships are presented at the Peter Perry Business Achievement Awards Gala and are one of the benefits of a membership with the Whitby Chamber of Commerce.
Committees: We have 5 committees that drive the initiatives in our strategic plan and work to support the mandate of the Chamber.
Gas Discount: Chamber members are entitled to a discount on the price of gas when purchased at ESSO and Petro-Canada gas stations anywhere in Canada. Applications are available from the Chamber office. Call or e-mail for more information.

Monday Night Golf League: Join other Chamber members on Monday nights for networking and 9 holes of golf! This program was launched in 2001 and is extremely successful. Prizes for closest to the pin, and a cash draw at every game. End of the season showcases a wrap up dinner with trophies for best scores. Since its inception, the Golf league has raised $1,000 each year which goes toward the Membership Scholarship award.
Networking Opportunities: Monthly Breakfast Networking Program - 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Promote and profile your business in a high energy atmosphere. Each individual is given the opportunity to give a 30 second 'infomercial' on their business. We have found that the best spokesperson for your business is you! Monthly After Hours Networking Program - 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. These meetings are held at local Chamber business establishments where you can showcase your business through individual table sponsorships.
Publication - Business Connects This complimentary magazine is a tremendous way to stay current on Chamber activities and those of the membership. It is published 12 months of the year and has a circulation of over 2,000. We have recently gone to full color with the and members have the opportunity to purchase advertising for their business at very reasonable rates. Each month - there is a Member profile which allows you to highlight your business.
Referral Services: The Chamber office acts as a referral agency for out of town inquiries as well as inquiries from the general public. When someone calls looking for a specific service - we provide information and contact numbers of our Chamber members.
Relocation Packages: The Chamber provides general information packages to people who are relocating to the area.
Sponsorship: We have opportunities for you to showcase your business at our major events. In addition there is the opportunity to promote your business and be a host location for our networking programs.
