Advocacy

There are many roles the Chamber plays to help business become vibrant and successful; advocacy being a large role in providing a
Voice for Business locally, provincially and federally.

The Whitby Chamber is very active in providing it's membership with a voice at all levels of government such as:
› Locally supporting or opposing new policy
› Sending letters to the Ministries on behalf of local business or conducting meetings with local decision makers
› Provincially at the Ontario Chamber of Commerce and Federally at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce pushing policy and resolutions through (HST, Minimum Wage Gap)
