Whitby Chamber of Commerce
The Whitby Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary, not-for-profit association of business and professional people who share a common interest and pride in their community and want to work together to make Whitby a better place in which to work and live. It is an organization that was federally chartered in 1928 at the urging of several Whitby business people. The Whitby Chamber of Commerce has over 800 members. Representing 20,000 employees, it forms an integral part of the Ontario and Canadian Chamber of Commerce network representing over 60,000 businesses in Ontario and over 170,000 across Canada.
The Whitby Chamber of Commerce has a number of committees comprised of member volunteers that drive initiatives supporting the Chamber's vision and mandate. These committees include: Business Development, Community Development, Government Affairs, Marketing and Communications, and Programs and Events.
