The Whitby Chamber of Commerce's community and education partnership committee, which includes representatives from the economic development division of the Town of Whitby, Durham Region Local Training Board, Local Businesses, Durham College and both the Durham Public and Seperate School Boards, are organizing a Skills of the Future Day to be held at Durham College's Whitby Campus, School of Skilled Trades, Apprenticeship and Renewable Technology on February 22, 2012. Representatives from local industry, key note speakers and hands-on events will be featured at this event, which is designed to educate high school students as to what is available locally.
