Once a year the Chamber is proud to provide an award to a deserving student at each of the local Whitby Secondary Schools. We believe that as a business association, close ties and support to our local education system is crucial to the prosperity of our community.

Award Criteria 2011
"Whitby Chamber of Commerce Award"

Secondary Schools Eligible:
Sinclair Secondary School
Anderson C.V.I.
Donald A. Wilson Secondary School
Henry Street High School
All Saints Catholic Secondary School
Father Leo J. Austin Catholic Secondary School


Recipient Eligibility:
An Award will be provided to students who meet the following criteria:

  • Secondary school graduate who is entering a post secondary education program related to Business, Commerce or Skilled Trades
  • Demonstrated leadership/citizenship skills
  • Academics in good standing
  • Entrepreneurial skills have been demonstrated throughout the Secondary School years
  • Involvement in school wide activities/extra-curricular
